Science and technology is mandatory for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
In science and technology, students explore the natural and made worlds. They learn how to apply scientific and technological skills, knowledge and understanding across a broad range of contexts.
Science provides a way of inquiring about the world around us. It explores evidence and investigates ways to discover, develop and produce solutions to real world problems. The inquiry and skill-based nature of science opens doors to ideas and discoveries.
Technology
Campbellfield P.S. has embraced technology in many ways. Our school computer lab allows students to access 30 computers. Each class is timetabled to use the computer lab once each week.
Interactive Whiteboards have been installed in all classrooms. This technology allows teachers and students to explore the curriculum in a new interactive way. The whiteboards are used for daily routines, whole class and small group activities.
Classroom Computers have recently been installed providing students and teachers with access to Microsoft Office and other software to support the classroom learning.
