Personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE) is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10.
According to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), students are expected to participate in PDHPE for between 1.5 and 2.5 hours per week in Kindergarten to Year 6.
PDHPE provides students with opportunities to explore issues that are likely to impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves and others – now and in the future. Students also participate in challenging and enjoyable physical activity, improving their capacity to move with skill and confidence.

Sporting Schools
Campbellfield Public School takes part in Sporting Schools Australia which is an organisation that gives schools like ourselves funding each term to employ certified coaches to teach our students skills in a variety of sports. Some examples of sporting coaches that have attended our school are AFL, Aussie Hoops, gymnastics, cricket, Rugby League and Golf.
Premier's Sporting Challenge
Campbellfield takes great pride in participating in the Premier's Sporting Challenge annually. This initiative encourages physical activity both at school and at home. Students are dedicated to increasing their physical activity levels and are challenged to meet weekly time goals.
Sport Houses
At Campbellfield Public School we have four Sport Houses. Standard (Blue House), Hewitt (Yellow House), Estramina (Red House) and Minorca (Green House). Each House has a Sports Captain.
When students participate in any school or representative sporting event, points are awarded to their house team. The house team with the highest total points at the end of the school year will be named the House Cup champions.
